5: “Bring It Back” (Travis Porter)

After taking the Atlanta underground by storm in 2010, Travis Porter are becoming  mainstream household names in 2011 with their biggest record yet. “Bring It Back” has the potential to go down as a “Get Low” or “Salt Shaker” in DJ’s crates for years to come.

4: “Welcome To My Hood” (DJ Khaled ft. Rick Ross, Plies, Lil Wayne, T-Pain)

DJ Khaled is back with another monster single to ramp up the road to his next album “We the Best Forever”. He’s got the usual suspects along for the ride on “Welcome To My Hood”, and introduces the world to new producers The Renegades. Khaled’s had a great eye for producers so far, so pay attention to them.

3: “Hustle Hard” / “Hustle Hard Remix” (Ace Hood / Ace Hood ft. Rick Ross, Lil Wayne)

While the Remix is currently getting all the attention, the original solo version of Ace Hood’s latest single “Hustle Hard” is the real joint to me. Lex Lugar’s MONSTER production makes this record a movie every time its dropped, in the club or on the radio. Ace has always been one of the most underrated artists in the game, but always puts out quality joints and has been on a lot of big records. Hustle. Hard.

2: “Look At Me Now” (Chris Brown ft. Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne)

Chris Brown’s rapping now I guess, and anything Lil Wayne gets on seems to matter, but Busta Rhymes delivers the performance of 2011 so far. Double time off pattern flow over the bass heavy track produced by two of the biggest producers in electronic music right now, Afrojack & Diplo.

Buzz: “Vroom Vroom” (Mims)

Mr. “This Is Why I’m Hot” is back with a fresh single for 2011, produced by the undisputed producer of the year (so far) Lex Lugar. This record sounds huge in the club, and is buzzing throughout the southeast especially in Atlanta and Central Florida.

1: “6 Foot 7 Foot” (Lil Wayne ft. Cory Gunz)

Lil Wayne is back, and the Carter IV is on the way. Following the same set up pattern as Carter III, Weezy links with Bangladesh (A Milli) for another bass heavy monster, this time featuring Young Money’s Cory Gunz on his biggest national look yet. Young Moula Baby.
